Top 32 Companies Advance to Round 2 of 2017 Venture Madness Startup Competition
Final elimination round will determine top 16 finalists by February 3, 2017
PHOENIX (January 24, 2017) – Invest Southwest, in partnership with the Arizona Commerce Authority, has selected the top 32 startups who are advancing to round two of the 2017 Venture Madness competition. The Invest Southwest’s selection panel determined the top 64 finalists earlier this month, and will narrow the list to 16 finalists to present in the bracket-style, head-to-head live event on March 8 – 10, 2017 at the Hotel Valley Ho in Scottsdale, AZ.
“This is where we start moving quick,” said Karen Katzorke, executive director of Invest Southwest. “January is exciting as we go from 64 to 16 by early February – the selection panel has their work cut out for them! We’re always thrilled to help propel our entrepreneurial community and foster the growth of such incredible companies.”

Companies that make it to the final round of competition will be battling for a chance at their share of a $20,000 cash prize and a $300,000 investment pool from active regional investors, as well as the opportunity to be named 2017 Venture Madness Champion.
