Participating in the Venture Madness mentor sessions is a benefit and a critical component to making our presenting companies a success on stage at the live event.

What is the Venture Madness Mentor Program?
The Venture Madness Mentor Program is designed to fine-tune Venture Madness presenting companies with their pitch and slide decks and overall company needs to enhance their credibility with investors on stage at the live event. Mentor Captains will be assigned to each team, where they will be asked to commit to participating in 2 full mentors sessions. Mentors will be assigned in a room with 8-12 mentors who will hear Venture Madness Conference companies pitch to the mentors. Following the pitch, mentors will give feedback and hold Q&A. Approximately 4-6 companies will pitch in each session.
What is the time commitment to mentor?
There are two mentor session dates. It is strongly advised that each mentor attend both dates so that efforts are not duplicated during the second session.
• Friday, February 23, 2024 (Approximately 5 hours or less)
• Friday, March 8, 2024 (Approximately 4 hours or less)
*Timing of each mentor session is contingent on number of presenters selected to present at the 2024 conference (to be announced January 2024).
How are the mentor teams formed?
Mentor teams are formed by the VM Mentor Chair and Executive Director in groups of 8-12 mentors. Mentors are matched and mixed by a combination of industry expertise and number of representatives from each organization.
What is the location of the mentor sessions?
All mentor sessions, unlise otherwise noted, will be held at Galvanize in Phoenix.
Can I Zoom or dial into a mentor session?
All of our mentor sessions are held in person.
What are the next steps after I submit my mentor information?
Save both mentor dates on your calendar. We highly recommend blocking your calendar from 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. on February 23rd, and 8:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. on March 8th.
Hang tight! While we are busy confirming and collecting data, our VM Mentor Chair and Exec Director are forming your mentor team. Once the companies have been selected to present at the Venture Madness Conference (January), mentor captains and teams will be assigned. Agendas will be distributed early February.
First time mentoring? We've got you covered! We strongly encourage you to participate as an observer. Your mentor captain will walk each mentor through the process at the beginning of each session. In addition, serving on a team is a great way to gain exposure for your organization and learn more about each company.
